We will meet on five Fridays:

May 3, 2019
May 31, 2019
June 21, 2019
July 12, 2019
August 9, 2019

In between each of these sessions you will have an opportunity to participate in a triad practice session, with supervision.

What to Expect

The Center for Self Leadership (CSL) offers “Level One” trainings that can lead to certification as an IFS practitioner or therapist. This “Essentials” course is more streamlined, and is not sponsored by CSL.  It will offer a foundation of IFS theory and opportunities for supervised practice.

As individual learning curves vary, some may feel ready to add the IFS approach to their clinical practice after completing this training.  However, anyone who wishes to refer to themselves as “Certified” will need to complete a Level One Training sponsored by CSL and meet other criteria.  Information on these in-depth training opportunities can be found at

Additional Practice Sessions
In our experience serving as Program Assistants for the IFS training, we have come to believe that most of the practical learning happens in the triad practice sessions.  In the Level 1 training, each student participates in approximately fifteen practice sessions, in roles of therapist, client, and observer.  However, each person has different needs in this regard and different resources available.  We have designed this program so that you can choose to have as much or as little of the triad practice as you find appropriate, in addition to the three sessions that are included in your tuition.  However, we strongly suggest that you plan on benefitting from a significant number of such sessions, which are necessary to master the protocol.  You are welcome to book these with us for $120 per hour in triads ($40 per participant) or dyads ($60 per participant).

Continuing Education
We will provide a Certificate of Completion for up to 23 hours

$875 if received before April 12
$950 after
Plus the cost of optional practice sessions
