2018 Call for Workshop Proposals

WORKSHOP SELECTION PROCESS
The Conference currently offers workshops in the following Tracks:

  • Couples, Family, Parenting & Children
  • Trauma
  • Addiction
  • Mind, Body & Spirit
  • IFS Beyond Psychotherapy
  • Other – The model is growing and expanding quickly. We always invite additional topics for review. Each track will include a mix of workshop levels geared toward attendees with various levels of knowledge in the model. Please take these levels into serious consideration in creating your proposal and label your offering appropriately. Accepted proposals are selected based on:
    • Presenter experience with the IFS Model. Minimum of Level 1 Training is highly preferred.
    • Depth of subject expertise in one of the workshop tracks
    • Unique application of the IFS Model: New, exciting topics that explore the model
      • New material will be given strong preference during the review period
    • Quality, thoroughness and professionalism of the proposal and the presenter
    • Presenter should have advanced degrees to include a Masters’ Degree or Higher. Continuing Education Requirement
    • Availability to present Friday, Saturday AND Sunday will be given priority as well.
  • IFS Trainers, IFS practitioners and therapists and IFS training graduates are invited to submit a proposal; a demonstrated knowledge of the IFS Model is required.
  • Each proposal will be reviewed by a Conference Committee comprised of experienced IFS practitioners and CSL Staff.

WORKSHOP FORMAT

  • CSL will consider alternative formats for workshops, including but not limited to 3 hour and full day (6 hours) sessions. We ask for your patience as we review the proposals in conjunction with participant feedback to create the best format possible. Pre-conference workshops have been traditionally full day format and can be submitted using this form.
  • Workshops should be designed to encourage an open dialogue, audience participation and experiential segments.
  • The number of presenters for each workshop should not exceed three.

NUMBER OF SUBMISSIONS ALLOWED
An individual may submit more than one proposal to be considered for the annual conference. However, please note that only one workshop is typically accepted per presenter.

SUBMITTING YOUR PROPOSAL

  • All proposals will receive a confirmation email within 2 weeks of submitting. If you do not hear back please contact Ashley.
  • Presenters will be notified of a decision by April 30th, 2018.
  • SCHEDULING WORKSHOP PRESENTATIONS
    Persons with accepted presentations must present at the time that CSL schedules the workshop for. Persons with time constraints for religious reasons must include this information on the original submission form. Any other time restraints must also be noted on the proposal.

    COMPENSATION
    Presenters will receive waived conference fees for the day they present and discounted registration on additional days.
