On Thursday, October 26, 2017 the 2017 IFS Annual Conference opens with an exciting Pre-conference Institute featuring four day long workshops of different content areas. Not only are the workshops themselves exciting, but we are pleased to share that all of the material will be taught by long time members of the IFS Community who have continued to inspire our learning of the model. We hope that you will join us at this year’s Pre-conference Institute.

Highlights from our 2016 Conference

In 2016, we explored the concept All Parts Are Welcome? For everyone that joined us at the 2016 IFS Conference, we know that this was a powerful weekend and what we learned was eye opening. We had an unforgettable plenary on Saturday morning, The Power of IFS in the Face of Marginalization presented by Percy Ballard, MD, Julie Honeycutt, MMFT, NCC, LMHC, LPC, Kate Lingren, LICSW, Derek Scott, RSW, Mary Steege MDiv, LMFT, and Grace Anne Stevens, MA who spoke about their experiences in the IFS Community. Since then, several of these presenters have formed the Advisory Committee for Diversity and Inclusion along with members of The Center for Self Leadership’s staff who meet to discuss policies, trainings and ways we can aspire to truly embody All Parts Are Welcome.

This year’s conference theme, Self-Led Activism: Releasing Your Inner Change Agent is aimed at continuing the conversations we had a year ago. Please join us at this year’s Saturday morning plenary as we welcome the Diversity and Inclusion Committee; Percy, Kate, Julie and Grace back to the IFS stage to reflect on the last year. And also to welcome to the stage a group that exemplifies this year’s conference theme whole heartedly. We look forward to continuing this ever important conversation this October.
