About IFS Training Programs

The Center for Self Leadership offers Level 1 (Basic), Level 2 (Intermediate), and Level 3 (Advanced) training programs in the Internal Family Systems psychotherapeutic model. As a participant in these trainings you will learn both IFS theory and technique, gaining the knowledge and skills you need to understand and actively use the IFS model with individuals, couples, children, families, and groups.

Interest Lists for Level 1 Training Programs

If you are unable to participate in one of the training programs already scheduled above, you may add yourself to an Interest List for a prospective training program in another location (see box below). Once a particular Level 1 Interest List comprises 40 people, CSL will investigate the possibility of scheduling a training program in that Interest List’s location. Being on an interest list does not obligate you to enroll in a training, however, planning for the training will only progress if a sufficient number of people are seriously interested.

Module 1 and 2 Trainings - A New Approach to Level 1 & 2 Trainings

This training program offers a new and unique opportunity to learn the basic skills and knowledge of the
IFS model. Designed to incorporate the curricula of a traditional Level 1 training and the key content
areas of a traditional Level 2 training, the IFS training program will include lectures, experiential
exercises, supervised practice and demonstrations of the IFS model.

The training has two complementary Modules that flow seamlessly from one to the other. The
first three weekends of this training comprise Module 1 and the remaining four weekends comprise
Module 2. In total, there are seven 3-day weekends (sessions) over the course of about a year (126
training hours).
