TELECOURSES in INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEMS

The Center for Self Leadership is excited to offer several telecourse opportunities through which you can learn about the groundbreaking Internal Family Systems psychotherapeutic model. CSL is offering IFS telecourses through out the year and anyone interested in learning more about IFS is invited to participate. By their very nature, these telecourses are easily accessible and they are an exceptional value as well.

One of the telecourses will provide an introduction to the concepts and principles of the IFS model.  Pamela Krause LCSW, ACSW, will teach this telecourse.  Ms. Krause is a IFS Lead Trainer and practitioner whose six weekly sessions (12 hours total) will also impart the basic concepts of IFS, though it will focus less on the experiential learning process.

Dr. Richard Schwartz, PhD, LMFT, and founder of both the IFS model and The Center for Self Leadership, will conduct the third telecourse as a consultation group. This telecourse will meet for six monthly sessions (12 hours total).

Participating in a telecourse is technologically simple - all you need to do is dial a conference call number that CSL will provide and talk as you would for any other phone call. The telecourses will be limited in size to accommodate this learning modality, ensuring that each member of the group has ample opportunity to participate.

CSL developed these telecourses so that more people, both therapists and those not in the mental health care field, have a chance to learn about the Internal Family Systems model in a convenient and economical way.  Neither the introductory telecourse nor the telecourse consultation group are designed to take the place of CSL’s many Level 1, 2, and 3 training programs offered throughout the U.S. and abroad. These training programs are the only means by which practitioners can gain the necessary qualifications to practice as IFS therapists.

NOTE: There are no CEU's offered for telecourses.

REGISTRATION and INFORMATION:   Please contact The Center for Self Leadership at 708.383.2659, or send an email with the words “telecourse information needed” in the subject line to info@selfleadership.org.

Introduction to IFS Theory and Therapy: A Six-Session Telecourse
Instructor: Pamela Krause, LCSW, ACSW

This telecourse will provide in-depth learning of IFS theory and technique. Participants will use their own inner systems of “parts” to ground their understanding of IFS theory and practice. We will cover the nature of “parts,” the ways individuals personally experience Self-energy, the qualities and development of protectors and exiles, how to map the structure of inner systems, and the practice and goals of IFS therapy. Live IFS demonstrations will be part of this telecourse. Written exercises will foster self-examination of parts and their interrelationships.

Pamela Krause, LCSW, ACSW, is an IFS lead trainer and is also trained in Hakomi therapy.  She is in private practice where she works with adults, adolescents, and children.  She has a sub-specialty in adapting the IFS model for use in younger children.  Pam is known for her lively yet compassionate approach to therapy.
